Urbanization By-Laws
As of August 31st the new Urbanization By-Laws (#10-04, 10-05, 10-06, 10-07, 10-08, 10-09 and 10-10) were reputed to be conform.  The certificates of conformity were received from the MRC of Bonaventure on September 17th.  These By-Laws are available at the Town Hall during regular business hours for consultation purposes.
Royal Canadian Legion Branch #172
The Legion wishes to advise its members and the community that Remembrance Day activities will take place in Gesgapegiag.  The Veterans Church Parade Service will be held at the Gesgapegiag Church on November 7th at 11:15 AM.  The Branch Remembrance Day ceremonies will be held at the cenotaph in front of the Gesgapegiag Church on Thursday November 11th at 10:30 AM.  All are welcome to attend.  Those wishing to purchase a wreath are asked to contact Kate Leblanc at 418-392-6057 and it must be picked up either Nov. 8th or 9th between 3 and 8 PM at the Legion Hall in Cascapedia-St-Jules.  **Note:  All funds collected during the Poppy Campaign and from the sale of wreaths are put back into the Community, towards programs for the elderly and youth.     Thank You.

Legion Harvest Dinner
The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #172 will be having a Harvest Dinner on Nov. 14th at the Community Center, 55 Gallagher Rd., from 4:30 to 6 PM.  The cost is $8 per adult and $5 for children under 12.  Everyone is welcome to attend and help us celebrate our 65th Anniversary.  Thank you for your support.

Fall Festival Meeting
November 4th at 7:30 PM there will be a public meeting held regarding the Fall Festival at which time the Financial Report for 2010 will be made public.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

Card Party

The Annual Card Party to benefit the St. Jules Church will be held on Sunday Nov. 21st at 1PM.  Our volunteers will be passing door to door on Nov. 20th in the AM to pick up donations for prizes.  Thank you for your support.

Fifty Plus Club
The AGM for the club will be held on Wednesday, December 8th at 7PM, we will be looking for new directors at this time.  Memberships for 2011 are now due, the fee is $10, you may give your dues to any director or bring it to Bingo on Tuesday night or Dame de Pique on Friday night.  You do not have to be 50 years old to join and we welcome any donation.  Your support is greatly appreciated.

The annual Christmas Concert will be held on Friday, Dec. 3rd at 7PM.  If you would like to donate your talent and perform, please call Elaine Cochrane at 392-4894.  Practices for the children will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 10th at 6PM.

Book Room
The Book Room at the Fifty Plus Club is open very Wednesday from 1 to 4 PM until December 15th at which time it will be closed for about one month, so be sure to come in and pick up some reading before then.  We have books for all tastes and ages, from romance to biographies.  Thank you.

New Richmond High School
The NRHS Secondary 1 & 2 Class wish to express their sincere gratitude to the residents of the Municipality of Cascapedia-St-Jules for the generosity shown during their recent bottle drive.  An amount of $1 281.00 was raised through bottles collected and donations given.  Thank you all for your support.

Kidney Car Program

Is a fundraising initiative.  People are invited to donate their old vehicles to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.  The vehicles are towed, free of charge, and recycled, and the donor receives a tax receipt!  You can visit the web site www.kidney.ca or you can phone (418)775-8660.
