We would like send our heartfelt Congratulations to the Firemen who are donating their personal time to follow the necessary courses as required by the Québec Government. They have all passed their last exam and are one step closer to achieving their Firemen One classification, well done guys!!

Friendly Request
Concerned Citizens in the Municipality are asking people to please stop feeding the foxes. There are a lot of them around and they are one of the top carriers of rabies, they kill pets such as cats and small dogs, and they can pass on infections to your household pets which can then be transferred to children. There are many ideas on the internet to discourage them from coming onto your property. These are wild animals and should not be encouraged to hang around populated areas. Thank you.

St. Alphonse Dump Site
The Municipality of St. Alphonse is receiving many complaints about the garbage being found in the ditches along rue des Érables in Caplan. It is evident that this garbage is coming from individuals bringing their

garbage to the dump. So we are asking our residents that if you are transporting garbage to the dump, you make sure your items are properly loaded and covered so nothing can either fall or blow out. Thank You.

50 Plus Club
The 50 Plus Club will be having a BBQ at 319 Route 299 on Saturday, August 7th from 11am to 1pm. There will be hamburgers, hot dogs and salads. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
Everyone is welcome, thank you for your support.

Legion
The Legion Hall will be open on Aug. 1st, 8th and 29th and closed on Aug. 15th and 22nd. There will also be a Corn Boil on August 1st, from 11:30 to 1:30 and everyone is welcome to attend. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12, there will also be music in the bar. We thank you for your support!

The Relay For Life
We would like to extend a most heartfelt thanks to all those who participated in any way with this years Relay for Life. We had set a goal of $200 000, and thanks to the 1200 participants, 172 survivors and more than 180 volunteers we raised an amazing $228, 218!! Thank you so much and we look forward to seeing you all again next year, Go Teams!!
