FALL FESTIVAL EVENTS
Soap Box Derby
**Please note that Route Gallagher will be closed from 11:30 AM to 2 PM on Saturday, Oct. 4th and from 11 AM to 1 PM on Sunday. Between McKay and the Municipal Grounds.  All access to the Hall will be via Irishtown – NO EXCEPTIONS!

Ecumenical Service
There will be an Ecumenical Service held at the St. Jules Church on Friday, Oct. 3rd at 6: oo PM to kick off the Fall Festival Weekend.  Everyone is Welcome!
Ham & Turkey Supper
There will be a ham & turkey supper provided by Au Fin Gourmet on Saturday, Oct. 4th from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Community Center.  The cost for adults is $9 & for children 12 & under $7.
Brunch
Sunday, Oct. 5th, from 8 AM to 11 AM there will be a brunch provided by Au Fin Gourmet.  The cost is $6.00.
**You can pick up a schedule of events Dépanneur St. Jules or the Town Hall.
Terry Fox
A big Thank You to all those who participated in the walk.  Thank you once again to William Jerome for collecting donations in Gesgapegiag, and thank you to all of our volunteers, without all of you this would not be possible.  This year our total was $3, 595.00!!  We look forward to seeing you all again next year.

Pictures of the Fall Festival and Guides Competition
Over the Fall Festival and Guides Competition weekend, if you take some pictures on a digital camera, you can send them to salmon@cascapediariver.com and they will be included in a slide show that Jean Nicolas is going to set up on his site cascapediariver.com. 

Prayer in the spirit of Taizé
The evening prayers in the spirit of Taizé will resume it’s activities beginning on Friday, October 24th, from 7 – 8 PM at Notre-Dame des Saints-Anges, in New Richmond.  This invitation is addressed to Christians of all denominations as well as those who are searching for God. For more info. call 392-4288. Welcome to all.

Thank You
The kids from New Richmond High School would like to thank everyone for their support during their bottle drive Sept. 6th.  It was an amazing success with $1, 219.68 in bottles and donations. 

Dry Dump
The dry dump will be open for it’s last day of this year on November 1st, after this date it will be closed until sometime next spring.  Thank You.
Official Opening
The Official Opening of the new Town Hall and Fire Hall will be held on October 10th starting at 4 PM.  There will be refreshments served and everyone is welcome to attend.
Snow Removal
The Town Council is now accepting sealed bids for the snow removal contract for the Community Center, Youth Center and the yard at the Fire Hall and Town Hall.  Anyone interested can bring in their sealed envelope to the Town Hall on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.  All bids must be received by the Director General no later than October 31st at 3:30PM.
Eucharistic Celebration
The launching of our pastoral year will take place next Sunday, October 19th.  Our four Christian communities are invited to celebrate together at the Multifunctional Center Galgoasiet in Gesgapegiag beginning at 11 am.  After the Eucharistic Celebration a dinner will be served at a cost of $5 per person, children under 12 free. **Please take note that on this weekend of October 18th and 19th, there will be only one mass in the sector.  Come, let us pray and celebrate together our faith as disciples of Jesus.

Dépanneur St. Jules would like to send out a special Thank You to everyone who helped Dave clean up the morning of the break in.  An extra Thank You to Greg Harrison for his keen eye and fast thinking.  It is greatly appreciated.
Book Room
There are lots of new books waiting for readers and lookers of all ages – FREE!  If you would like to volunteer Wednesdays from 2-4, please call 392-6148.  Thank You.
Fifty Plus Club
Every Tuesday night there is a Bingo at 7PM and Dame de Pique on Fridays, also at 7PM.  For the card game, you need to have a partner when you arrive and the price is $5 per person.  Everyone is Welcome!
